Job Title: Flexible Teacher
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: £94 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: After Easter 2025 or September 2025
Contract: Full-time, permanent (part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

About the Role:

As a Flexible Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom activities, and ensuring students receive continuous learning in the absence of the regular teacher. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to flexibly support students while also gaining invaluable experience in primary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and adapting them as necessary to meet students’ needs.
  • Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment by managing classroom behaviour.
  • Supporting students to stay engaged with their learning and providing tailored assistance.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback where required.
  • Contributing to the smooth transition of students when the regular teacher returns.
  • Promoting a growth mindset and fostering a love for learning in students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a must.
  • A degree or be a university student, especially those looking to gain experience in teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with children.
  • Classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a focused learning environment.
  • A passion for supporting young learners and making a positive impact on their education.
  • Previous experience with children or in educational settings would be advantageous.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
