Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start: After Easter 2025 or September 2025
Contract: Full-time (Permanent/Fixed Term), Part-time available for the right candidate
Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of mathematicians? If so, GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a dynamic mainstream secondary school in Southampton.
About the Role: As a Maths Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mathematics education, fostering a love for the subject, and supporting students in achieving their academic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate the varying needs and abilities of students.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment, ensuring timely feedback.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and innovative teaching approaches.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management in the classroom.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) qualification.
- Overseas-trained teachers with relevant teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Cover Supervisors (CS) looking to transition into teaching will also be considered.
- Delivering Maths curriculum to Key stages 3 and 4 students.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Previous experience in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
