Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £150 - £200 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Chesterfield. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.
  • Develop strategies to support emotional regulation and resilience in students.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods to individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
  • Effective behaviour management skills paired with a compassionate and understanding approach.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs and foster an inclusive classroom.
  • A patient, resilient, and flexible teaching style to engage and support all learners.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
