Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School in the New Forest Area
Full-time | Permanent contract offered after successful probation

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the New Forest area. The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs.
- Offer general classroom support, working alongside teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with differentiating tasks and adapting resources to ensure accessibility for all learners.
- Promote positive behaviour and well-being, offering emotional and academic support to help students build confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with the school’s SENDCo, teachers, and pastoral team to monitor student progress and contribute to support plans.
What We’re Looking For:
- A caring and empathetic individual with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, SEMH) is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to changing classroom needs.
- A willingness to learn and develop through training and support.
