Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)

About the Role: As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. Key Responsibilities of SEN Teacher:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that inspire students to learn and achieve their potential.
  • Provide one-on-one and group instruction tailored to students’ needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to succeed.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed to ensure each student is progressing towards their learning goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education and well-being.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to participate.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences.
  • Keep detailed records of student progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to parents and relevant parties.

Requirements of SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in teaching students with Special Educational Needs is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships within the school community.
  • Deep commitment to helping students develop their skills, exhibiting patience and enthusiasm.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education (desirable but not essential).

To work with us as an SEN Teacher, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered with the Updated Service or willing to apply for one.
