Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)

About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students with special educational needs. You will create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs), ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed. Whether you’re an experienced SEN teacher or someone eager to specialise in this rewarding field, this is a stable and impactful opportunity.

Responsibilities for an SEN Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with their learning and ensure they remain on task.
  • Mark work where required and provide constructive feedback.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members.

Requirements of an SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and age groups.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
