GSL Education needs an enthusiastic PE Specialist to join a dynamic school in Hull, starting in September 2025. Key Responsibilities of the PE Specialist:
- Deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons to students of various age groups.
- Promote the benefits of physical activity and instil a passion for sport and fitness.
- Plan and implement varied and inclusive lessons that cater to different abilities and needs.
- Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
- Assess and track students’ progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Organise and support extracurricular sports activities and events.
- Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team to integrate PE into the school curriculum.
Requirements:
- A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in delivering PE lessons, ideally in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for promoting physical education.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps).
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
