Job Title: KS1 Teacher
Location: Scunthorpe
Pay Rate: £130 - £180 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Easter 2025 start
Contract: Daily Supply with Opportunities for Long-Term Work

GSL Education are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to work in primary schools across Scunthorpe. This role is perfect for teachers who thrive in a dynamic setting, enjoy working with diverse student groups, and are committed to delivering high-quality education.

About the Role:

As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping young learners develop their literacy, numeracy, and social skills in a structured yet engaging classroom environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, ensuring that all pupils receive the support and encouragement they need to progress academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
  • Use a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches as necessary.
  • Foster positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and school leadership teams to enhance student learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and development.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience as a KS1 Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging high-quality lessons.
  • Experience working with children of varying abilities, including those with SEN (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
