Job Title: PE Teacher

Location: Colchester

Contract Type: Full-time/ Long term

Salary Scale: £130-£230 per day 

Start Date: Immediately

 

Are you passionate about promoting physical fitness and encouraging students to live an active, healthy lifestyle? We are looking for an enthusiastic, and dedicated PE Teacher to join the team at a secondary school in Colchester.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-          Teach a broad range of PE activities and sports to students in secondary school.

-          Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that encourage physical fitness and teamwork.

-          Foster a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels motivated to participate.

-          Organise sports events, activities, and after-school clubs to further engage students.

-          Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.

-          Promote the importance of physical health, wellness, and teamwork within the school community.

-          Inspire students to reach their full potential.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

-            Previous experience working with children or in a SEN role is preferred.

-            A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.

-            Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-            Previous experience working within education

-            GCSE or equivalent grade C (Pass) or higher

-            A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.

 

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

-             Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Physical education, sports science or a related field.

-            Experience working within education.

-            Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

-            Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.

-            GCSE or equivalent at grade C (Pass) or above.

-            A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' academic and emotional development.

-            Excellent communication and organisational skills.
