Year 6 Teacher
Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: £162.31 – £223.63 per day
Availability: ASAP start

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be at the heart of preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school, supporting them to achieve their potential in an inclusive, supportive environment. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning, ensuring all students make steady progress towards their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to Year 6 pupils.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Support students with varying needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and those who are more able.
  • Develop a positive classroom environment where all students feel supported and motivated.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school community, including parents, staff, and external agencies.
  • Prepare pupils for the challenges of the SATs and secondary education.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching at Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on Year 6.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire young learners.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience in preparing students for SATs.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or the willingness to apply for one.
