Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding role in a supportive school environment?

GSL Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a dynamic team at a school in Locks Heath, Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students' academic and personal development on either a day-to-day or long-term basis, with flexible full-time or part-time options.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), your responsibilities will be:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with various learning needs.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, ensuring students are engaged and able to access the curriculum.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting student participation and engagement.
  • Support students with their emotional and social development, ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Help track and monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with behaviour management, reinforcing school policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the general administration and running of the classroom as needed.

Teaching Assistant Qualification:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or in a similar role is essential.
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, or equivalent.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education or a similar field.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents effectively.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a passion for helping children succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or the willingness to apply for one.
