Job Title: TA for Secondary 
Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Immediate or after Easter 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Part-Time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

Are you ready to inspire and support the next generation of learners? If so, GSL Education are thrilled to offer opportunities for an ambitious Teaching Assistant (TA) to support students and teachers in a lively mainstream secondary school environment in Farnborough.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning space.
  • Support students with additional learning needs
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in class activities.
  • Work closely with teachers and school staff to enhance learning outcomes.

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
  • Knowledge of the curriculum and effective teaching support strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Uni students and fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Patience, empathy and an understanding of how to support children’s individual needs.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) is desirable but not essential.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
