SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Waterlooville
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long Term, Full-Time/Part-Time

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will be an integral part of the classroom, offering one-to-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs. You will work alongside teachers and support staff to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.GS

What you have to do as a SEN TA:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
- Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and adapting resources.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the teacher and SENCo.
- Support students with personal care and mobility needs, when required.
What we need from an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, education or a similar field.
- Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) or in a similar support role.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
