Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Eastleigh
Salary: £13.68 - £14.88 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant (TA) to become part of a committed school community in Eastleigh. This position provides the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of young students while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with teachers to create an engaging and supportive classroom experience.
- Offer personalised learning support through one-on-one and small-group interactions.
- Inspire students to actively participate and build confidence in their abilities.
- Cultivate a structured and positive learning atmosphere for all.
- Guide students in mastering literacy, numeracy, and essential curriculum subjects.
- Promote student well-being by assisting with behaviour management and emotional support.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure every learner receives the attention they need.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
- A genuine desire to work with children and help them succeed academically and personally.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive attitude to overcome challenges.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not mandatory).
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
