Salary: £13.68 - £14.88 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in schools across Basingstoke, providing vital classroom support and creating a positive learning environment. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to gain valuable experience in an educational setting.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a key role in ensuring students receive the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed. Working alongside teachers, you will assist with lesson delivery, provide extra support to students who require it, and help create an engaging and structured classroom environment.
What you have to do as a responsible Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Play a key role in delivering interactive and inclusive lessons, ensuring every student thrives.
- Offer tailored one-on-one and group support to help students overcome learning challenges.
- Empower students to build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
- Foster a positive and structured classroom environment by supporting behaviour and engagement.
- Assist with lesson planning, resource preparation, and maintaining an organised learning space.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to track progress and adapt support strategies.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with students to enhance their educational journey.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
- A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and staff.
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children’s learning.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
