Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Hook
Salary: £13.68 - £14.88 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education needs an engaging and dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in Hook, assisting students and teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), your role will involve helping students with their studies, encouraging participation, and ensuring a smooth learning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of well-planned lessons, ensuring every student remains engaged and actively participates.
- Offer personalised assistance through one-on-one and small-group support, helping students reach their full potential.
- Empower students to develop confidence and independence in their learning journey.
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment by assisting with behaviour management.
- Contribute to lesson planning, classroom organisation, and effective resource management.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to enhance student progress and overall development.
- Build meaningful connections with students, inspiring motivation and a passion for learning.
Requirements:
- A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is preferred.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable but not essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a relevant field is beneficial.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.
- A patient, supportive, and proactive approach to working with students.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
