Salary: £13.68 - £14.88 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Southampton, providing essential classroom support to help students reach their full potential. Whether you're an experienced TA or looking to gain valuable experience in education, this role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in young people's lives.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will assist students in the classroom, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help them stay engaged with their studies. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping students succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide extra classroom support.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to help students with their learning.
- Foster student engagement and boost confidence in the classroom.
- Contribute to creating a positive and well-structured learning environment.
- Support students in key subjects such as literacy and numeracy.
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting student well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure every student receives the support they need.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is beneficial but not essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support students effectively.
- A patient, adaptable, and positive approach to working with children.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
