Teacher of Economics
Location: Malton, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS:
£31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Start Date: May or September  2025

Contract Type: Part-Time/Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a qualified, inspiring and motivational Economics Teacher to work on either on a part-time or full-time basis, from May or September 2025 at a Client Secondary School located in Malton, North Yorkshire.

Teacher of Economics Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Economics lessons to KS4 and KS5 students.
  • Develop students’ understanding of economic theories, concepts, and real-world applications.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Encourage students to participate in class, work independently as well as in groups.
  • Make sure lessons are understandable to all students including those with learning difficulties.
  • Take part in staff training days, staff meetings and parent’s evenings.

Teacher of Economics Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Economics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Economics at KS4 and KS5 (A-Level experience is highly desirable).
  • Keen to continuous development, sharing what works best with team.
  • You must have an enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
