Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Immediate/ Easter 2025 start
Contract: Full-time, permanent (Part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

About the Role:

As a Primary Teaching Support, you will work closely with class teachers to enhance pupils’ learning experience across various subjects. Your role will involve assisting with lesson delivery, providing one-to-one and small-group support, and helping children build confidence and independence in their learning.

Responsibilities of the Primary Teaching Support:

  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Provide targeted support to students who may need extra assistance with their learning.
  • Assist with classroom management, behaviour support, and daily routines.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Offer pastoral care, ensuring students feel supported in their academic and personal development.
  • Support children with literacy, numeracy, and social skills, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.

Requirements of the Primary Teaching Support: To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children in a school or childcare setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with pupils and staff.
  • Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm, ensuring a nurturing learning environment.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to student welfare.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting teachers and other staff members.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
