Job Title: PSHE Teacher
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £150 - £200 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time
Are you a passionate and resilient PSHE Teacher looking to make a real impact in the lives of young people?
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Teacher to work in a specialist school in Tower Hamlets, supporting students with mental health needs and challenging behaviours and helping them develop essential life skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive PSHE lessons tailored to students' needs.
- Support students in developing emotional resilience, social skills, and self-confidence.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
- Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid personal development.
- Inspire and motivate students to make positive choices in their education and personal lives.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.
- A strong understanding of the PSHE curriculum and pastoral care.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and provide consistent support.
- Resilience, patience, and a positive approach to teaching.
- Experience using de-escalation and behaviour management strategies (desirable).
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
