SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire
Start Date: Easter 2025
Salary: £83.33 – £95.00 per day

We are seeking Special Needs Teaching Assistants to support students with a range of additional needs in schools across Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. Prior experience and knowledge of SEN is essential for this role.
Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
✅ Adapting learning materials to meet individual student needs, following lesson plans provided by the class teacher.
✅ Supporting students' physical, social, and emotional well-being.
✅ Using creative and engaging methods to enhance learning.
✅ Collaborating with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
✅ Providing personal care when required to ensure students’ well-being.
What We’re Looking For:
At least 6 months of experience in an education or healthcare setting.
Experience supporting children, young people, or adults with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or physical disabilities.
A willingness to provide personal care when needed.
A genuine passion for helping individuals with additional needs gain independence.
A Level 2 or higher qualification, such as:
- Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must pass background safer recruitment checks, including an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
