Food Technician
Location: Kensington and Chelsea
Salary: £100 - £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary
GSL Education London Branch is looking for a Food Technician to join a vibrant and inclusive comprehensive secondary school in Kensington and Chelsea. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic individual who loves working in a busy food technology environment. If you have a passion for supporting students and teachers in delivering high-quality food lessons, this role is perfect for you!
Responsibilities of a Food Technician:
✔️ Prepare and set up ingredients, tools, and equipment for food technology lessons.
✔️ Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the food technology rooms and equipment.
✔️ Support teachers and students during practical cooking sessions.
✔️ Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
✔️ Manage stock levels, order supplies, and keep records of ingredients and materials.
✔️ Assist in the development of lesson resources and demonstrations.
✔️ Provide technical support to teachers and students as needed.
Requirements for a Food Technician:
Previous experience as a Food Technician or in a similar role is desirable.
A strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for food technology and education.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
