Job Title: SEN Learning Support
Location: Hayling Island
Salary Range: £13.68 - £14.88 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

An excellent opportunity is available for passionate individuals to join an SEN school in Hayling Island as an SEN Learning Support professional. This role is ideal for those committed to providing tailored support and helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

About the Role: As an SEN Learning Support, you will be essential in enhancing the education and well-being of students with special educational needs. Your role will contribute to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where all students can succeed.

SEN Learning Support Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to SEN students individually and in groups.
  • Assist in planning and implementing personalised learning programmes with teachers and staff.
  • Create a supportive environment that boosts student confidence and self-esteem.
  • Track progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom.
  • Contribute to developing and executing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Prepare and organise learning materials.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social-emotional development.

SEN Learning Support Job Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or Learning Support are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting is essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to enhancing the educational experiences of students with SEN.
  • The ability to adapt to various situations and respond effectively to the needs of individual students.
  • Understanding of various Special Education Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD etc.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
