Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Lincoln

Salary Scale: £83.33 – £95.00 per day

Start Date: ASAP; Easter term 2025

Contract type: Temporary, Full-time

GSL Education Lincolnshire are currently recruiting to support their Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision based in Lincoln with a practiced Behaviour Support Assistant skilled in supporting young people with overcoming barriers to learning. Ideally, they should be both dynamic and compassionate in their approach, working together to inspire and support students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.

The Role:

The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will be part of an innovative and inclusive team, full of creativity, primarily focused on providing tailored support to young people with additional needs. This may involve working 1:1 with students or supporting small groups to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Objectives:

  • Have former experience working with children having Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly in behaviour support.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and an ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and understanding of individual student needs.
  • Support teachers in delivering lesson plans and intervention strategies.
  • Encourage and implement a positive reward system for students.
  • Show a commitment to maintaining an excellent standard of educational support.
