Maths Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long Term / Permanent, Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher seeking an exciting opportunity in Hull? Do you have the skills to inspire students to excel in mathematics?

GSL Education are looking to appoint a talented and motivated Maths Teacher to join schools in Hull from September 2025. This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to make a difference in students’ mathematical understanding and academic journey.

As a Teacher of Maths, your responsibilities will be:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Plan and assess students’ work, ensuring effective differentiation and progression.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Mathematics.
  • Support students through Key Stages, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Implement effective behaviour management to create a positive learning environment.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching practices.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to support student development.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the school community.

Mathematics Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3, 4 & 5.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
