Location: Wareham
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in Wareham.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work alongside teachers to support students' learning and development, ensuring they have the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed. This role is perfect for those looking to build a career in education or gain valuable classroom experience.

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students with their social and emotional development.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Supervise students during activities and transitions.
  • Uphold the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

TA Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent.
  • A patient and adaptable approach with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student well-being.

  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
