Teaching assistant

Daily Rate: £88.00 - £110.00

Location – Boston, also work available in Spalding

Start date: Easter, April 2025

Are you looking to work with children aged 11 – 16 in secondary schools? Do you like helping others get the best out of themselves?

We work with a secondary school in Boston who require Teaching Assistants to join them after the Easter break. The role is initially to work via our supply agency full or part time with a view to being appointed when an opportunity arises.

Teaching assistant responsibilities:

  • Establish a professional rapport with students aged 11 – 16.
  • To differentiate the support you give to each and every student.
  • Engage in activities led by the classroom teacher and offer support where possible.
  • Provide support to student who have special needs, ensuring their safety whilst following the school’s curriculum.
  • Offer guidance and feedback to students under the direction of the class teacher.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • GCSE’s or equivalent are essential
  • A-levels, Degree, Master’s degree, all desirable
  • Experience with children outside of school or with vulnerable adults
  • The role is also suitable for university students who are currently studying
  • Experience in care or nursing would also be desired but not essential

Working with GSL Education:

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including a relevant enhanced DBS
