Science Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 to £50,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Easter 2025/ September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent/Long Term, Full-time/Part-time (permanent contract will be offered to the right candidate upon successful completion of the probation period)

This role offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) eager to advance their teaching careers and contribute to a positive learning environment.
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver comprehensive and exciting lessons that stimulate curiosity and encourage critical thinking across all key stages. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an engaging and challenging curriculum while maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
As a Teacher of Science, your responsibilities will be:
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to encourage academic growth.
- Establish a safe, respectful, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the science curriculum.
- Contribute to extracurricular science activities and clubs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of teaching methods and scientific advancements.
- Support the wider school community through effective communication and teamwork.
Qualification of a Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status or a similar teaching qualification.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related field.
- Prior experience teaching Science at the secondary level is preferred, but ECTs are welcome to apply.
- Passionate about teaching and making science accessible and exciting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire students and foster a love of science.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
