Supply Teacher
Location: Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: £125 – £165 per day
Nature of Employment: Supply; Immediate start

GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Supply Teacher to work across our client schools located in Pocklington, Market Weighton, York and Hull. About the Role of Supply Teacher:

We are looking for enthusiastic Teachers to deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects on a supply basis, in the absence of permanent staff. This role is perfect for those who thrive in diverse classroom settings and are committed to maintaining a positive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities of a Supply Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging pre-planned lessons to ensure learning continuity.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies.
  • Support students’ academic progress by providing guidance and encouragement.
  • Adapt swiftly to different subjects and year groups as needed.

As the ideal Supply Teacher, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching in secondary and/or behaviour management schools, or relevant settings.
  • Strong classroom management skills and adaptability.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability to meet the dynamic demands of supply teaching.
