Job Role: Receptionist
Location: Greenwich
Salary: £60 - £80 per day
Start Date: April 2025 (After Easter)
Working Hours: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Contract: Long Term, Part Time
GSL Education London Branch is looking for a Receptionist to join a coeducational secondary school and sixth form in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist who enjoys working in a busy school environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of school admin experience and be confident using SIMS. If you are a friendly and organised Receptionist, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond to emails professionally.
- Manage the signing-in process for visitors and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Support the school’s admin team with filing, data entry, and updating records.
- Use SIMS to maintain accurate student records and attendance.
- Assist with general office tasks such as photocopying and handling post.
- Provide support during school events and meetings.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of school admin experience (essential).
- Experience using SIMS (essential).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
