Location: Hull
Pay Rate: £83 - £97 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Role Overview
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting students with special educational needs. Working closely with teachers, you will provide both one-on-one and group support, aiding students in improving their academic skills and comprehension. Your role will also involve preparing lesson materials, supporting classroom activities, and providing feedback on student progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Tailored Learning Plans: Collaborate with teachers to develop and regularly update individualised learning plans for each student.
- Academic Support: Provide targeted interventions to help students enhance their reading, writing, and comprehension skills using evidence-based strategies.
- Study Techniques: Teach and reinforce effective study habits, encouraging students to engage with their studies and model positive behaviour.
- Inclusive Environment: Work with classroom teachers to implement strategies that foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Progress Monitoring: Keep detailed records of student progress and interventions, and communicate updates to teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Holistic Support: Collaborate with counsellors, social workers, and other professionals to address the broader needs of students and their families.
Requirements
- Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, particularly within an SEN setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting students in their educational journey.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education are desirable.
