Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start: Easter 2025 or September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a passionate History Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to educate and inspire young minds? GSL Education needs a motivated and passionate History teacher to join a vibrant school in Hull, delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons to the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and informative History lessons that spark curiosity.
  • Teach a broad curriculum, covering key historical events, societies, and themes.
  • Encourage students to develop critical thinking, analytical, and research skills.
  • Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
  • Foster a love for history by using creative teaching methods and interactive resources.
  • Organise and participate in educational trips, historical events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve the History curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching History at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
  • A strong passion for historical education and student engagement.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • The ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps).
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
