Job Title: Specialist Learning Support
Location: Hull
Salary: £84 - £97 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate or Easter 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting students with additional learning needs? If so, GSL Education are looking for a Specialist Learning Support to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Hull. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, dedicated, and eager to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning strategies to help students succeed.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to implement individual learning plans (ILPs).
  • Support students with social, emotional, and communication difficulties.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting student engagement.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEN, learning difficulties, or additional needs (preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, caring, and motivational approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or learning support (desirable).
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
