Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Andover
Salary Range: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you passionate about helping students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive in their learning environment? GSL Education seeks a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Andover. Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEN.
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
- Support students in developing confidence, independence, and key life skills.
- Implement strategies to manage behaviour and encourage positive learning experiences.
- Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to ensure student progress.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education is preferred.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students.
- Understanding of various SEN conditions.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
