Supply Teacher (Maternity Cover)– Eastleigh, Hampshire

GSL Education are excited to offer a Supply Teacher position for a secondary school in Eastleigh, Hampshire. This is maternity cover starting Easter 2025. The pay rate is between £120 - £150 per day (depending on experience). You will enjoy flexible working, based at one school, with the ability to pick and choose the days you wish to work, with a minimum of 3 days a week. There is no planning involved, and you will have the chance to get to know the students, staff, and the school well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom supervision for a variety of subjects as required.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and engage with students to ensure productive learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a focused and positive environment.
- Support students in their learning, aiding where necessary.
- Build rapport with students and staff to contribute to a positive school culture.
- Ensure all work set is completed within the allocated time.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching at the secondary level.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt to different learning environments quickly and efficiently.
- Professional attitude with a focus on student engagement.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude towards working in a variety of classrooms.
- Must be available for at least 3 days per week.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
