We have an incredible opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated team in Bovington. This is your chance to make a lasting impact and be part of something truly special!

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in Bovington, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities of Learning Support Assistant (LSA):

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualised support plans for students with learning needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN/SEMH needs.
  • Monitor and assess progress, provide feedback to relevant parties, and adjust support strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other support staff and families to ensure a cohesive approach to development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Use a variety of methods to engage and motivate students.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and report to relevant parties.

Requirements of Learning Support Assistant (LSA):

  • Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the community.
  • Deep commitment to helping students with learning needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN/SEMH support preferred.

To work with us as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one.
