Job Title: Class Teacher
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start time: Easter 2025 start
Contract type: Full-time, permanent (part-time can be arranged for the right candidate)
GSL Education are looking for a Class Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced mainstream primary school in Poole, Dorset. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Teacher (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) to deliver high-quality education and make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils.
Role Overview:
As a Class Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a broad, engaging, and inclusive curriculum, ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally. You will create an inspiring classroom environment, fostering a love for learning and equipping students with the skills they need to excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and independent thinking.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and SEND teams to provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs.
- Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress and achievements.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Contribute to the wider school community, participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) certification.
- Experience teaching in a primary school setting, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- A creative and adaptable approach to teaching, ensuring lessons are engaging and inclusive for all learners.
- Strong classroom management skills, fostering a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, working effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
- A commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
- Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
