Salary: £140 - £350 per day

We are seeking a dedicated PMLD Teacher (KS2) to join our secondary schools in Chelmsford immediately. The Role:
As a PMLD Teacher (KS2), you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging and adaptive lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
- Use a range of multi-sensory teaching methods, communication aids, and assistive technology to support learning.
- Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and parents to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes students’ independence and confidence.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SEND teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with PMLD, complex needs, and sensory impairments.
- Knowledge of alternative communication methods such as Makaton, PECs, and AAC.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with significant learning and physical needs.
- Experience in using specialist equipment such as hoists, standing frames, and switch devices is desirable.
