Job Title: Secondary Classroom Support
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary: £12.83 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Are you passionate about education and supporting young people in their learning? GSL Education seeks an energetic Classroom Support Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Fareham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping students reach their full potential in a supportive and structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students who need extra help.
- Encourage and motivate students to stay engaged in their learning.
- Support students with varying needs, including SEN and behavioural challenges.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in an educational or support role (desirable).
- A passion for education and helping students succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and positive approach to learning support.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- The ability to build strong relationships and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
