Food Technology Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract Type: Part-Time
GSL Education are seeking to appoint Food Technology Teacher to work at a Client Secondary School located approximately 15 miles north of York, North Yorkshire starting as soon as possible.

Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities:
- Delivering interactive lessons for KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
- Incorporating theoretical aspects of food technology, including food science, nutrition, and hygiene.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching materials and schemes of work.
- Assessing and providing constructive feedback to students to aid their progress and achievement.
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Food Technology Teacher Requirements:
- A teaching qualification, namely a PGCE or a B.Ed. with QTS in Food Technology or Hospitality/Catering/Food Science.
- Have recent experience teaching at the secondary school level.
- Passionate about teaching Food Technology along with a strong command of the subject
- Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management - although children are generally well behaved in the school.
- Are a committed and reflective professional who strives for continued improvement.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
