GSL Education is currently recruiting Primary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Exeter. Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in various classroom settings.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting materials to support diverse learning needs.
- Encourage student participation, engagement, and independence in the classroom.
- Support children with SEN, behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtime, and school activities to ensure their safety.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to support student development.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable but not essential.
- A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly in different schools and year groups.
- A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
