Science Teacher
Location: Wakefield
Start date: Easter term 2025
Salary: £140 – £190 per day
GSL Education South Yorkshire are looking to employ an exceptional and qualified Teacher of Science to work within secondary schools and academies located in Wakefield for Easter term of 2025.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to utilise a diverse range of teaching techniques to offer a robust learning experience in Science subjects. Early Career Teachers (ECT) are also welcome to apply for this role.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold PGCE in Secondary Science with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Specialise in Chemistry, Biology or Physics to GCSE standards.
- Have prior teaching experience within the last two years, which can be referenced (training placements are acceptable).
- Raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one at once.
