Geography Teacher
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £140 – £190 per day
GSL Education South Yorkshire are urgently looking to appoint a talented and qualified Geography Teacher for one of our prestigious client schools located in Sheffield effective immediately. This position is open for both Fully Qualified Teachers (FQT) as well as Early Career Teachers (ECT) seeking to contribute to creating a positive learning environment to enhance effective learning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver GCSE Geography lessons to pupils belonging to Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Scaffold and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Support and enthuse learners to reach their full potential.
- Work with teachers across the Humanities department to ensure progress is made.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
Job Requirements:
- Have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) through a PGCE in Secondary Geography, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience teaching GCSE Geography within the last 2 years; A-Level experience is desirable but not essential.
- Be able to provide relevant references from within the last two years. School placements for ECTs are acceptable.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply a for a new one through GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available on conditional basis.
