GSL Education is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support students in secondary schools across Slough. This role is ideal for someone with experience in behaviour support, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), and mentoring young people who face barriers to learning.
The Role:
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support students with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges.
- Implement strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviour and promote positive engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support individual student needs.
- Provide mentoring and build trust-based relationships to encourage personal and academic development.
- Support students with emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and classroom participation.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, SEMH, or SEN.
- Strong behaviour management skills and ability to implement de-escalation techniques.
- A positive and resilient approach to supporting young people.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
