Support Worker (SEN)

Location: Wickford
Salary: £85 - £130 per day
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Full-time

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker (SEN) looking for a rewarding role in a secondary school setting? We are currently seeking a Support Worker (SEN) to join our schools in Wickford immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to achieve their full potential in an inclusive and supportive environment.

The Role:

As a Support Worker (SEN), you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist in delivering structured learning activities, adapting materials to meet individual needs.
  • Support students both in the classroom and in one-to-one or small-group interventions.
  • Help to manage behaviour positively and promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement education and care plans effectively.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker (SEN), Teaching Assistant, or in a similar support role.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with SEN.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people with additional needs to thrive in an educational setting.
