Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

Key Responsibilities of a Mental Health Support Worker:
- Provide emotional and behavioural support to students facing mental health challenges.
- Assist students in developing coping strategies and improving their well-being.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external mental health professionals.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students in both one-to-one and small group settings.
- Monitor progress and contribute to individual support plans.
Mental Health Support Worker Requirements:
- Previous experience working in mental health support, education, or care settings.
- A relevant qualification in Psychology, Mental Health, Social Work, or Counselling is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
