SEN Teacher

Location: Christchurch
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / April 2025
Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Christchurch.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering tailored education plans, ensuring that students receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and educate students with special educational needs in a welcoming and inclusive setting.

Responsibilities of SEN Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to individual learning needs.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to support students' progress.
  • Implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively and support emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as required.
  • Ensure that students develop confidence and independence in their learning.

SEN Teacher Qualification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
