SEN Teacher

Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / April 2025
Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join a vibrant school in Bournemouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator with a strong understanding of special educational needs to make a meaningful impact on students' learning and development.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored education to students with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external professionals to implement EHCPs.
  • Use adaptive teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and needs.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support students' emotional and social development.

SEN Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) as an SEN Teacher.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
