Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per year (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)

About The Role:
As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, individualised learning experiences that empower students with SEND to develop their full potential. Your role will focus on developing key skills in literacy, numeracy and personal development, ensuring every child has access to meaningful education tailored to their unique needs.
Responsibilities of SEN Teacher:
- Plan and deliver customised lessons that align with individual learning plans.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
- Implement effective classroom strategies, utilising assistive technologies and multi-sensory approaches.
- Support students with social, emotional and behavioural challenges, ensuring a structured yet flexible approach.
- Work collaboratively with external specialists to enhance student engagement and progress.
- Provide detailed progress reports, contributing to EHCP reviews and development plans.
- Champion a culture of high expectations and inclusivity, ensuring each student feels valued.
The successful candidate will:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification, with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Experience in teaching students with ASD, SLD, SEMH and complex learning needs, ideally within a school setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of various SEN, including learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and other developmental challenges.
- The ability to differentiate lessons effectively and employ a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- A patient, compassionate and flexible approach to teaching, with a deep commitment to the holistic development of every student.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents and external professionals.
- Full-time availability and a proactive approach to your professional development.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
