Salary: £12.83 per hour

GSL Education needs an engaging and caring Behaviour Support Specialist to join a vibrant primary school in Boscombe. This full-time permanent role offers the chance to help young learners develop essential skills and thrive—with part-time options available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities of Behaviour Support (Primary):
- Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support to primary-aged students.
- Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support children’s social and emotional development.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create tailored intervention plans.
- Foster a nurturing and structured learning environment.
- Support students in building confidence, resilience, and self-regulation skills.
- Monitor and report on student progress, offering feedback to staff and parents.
The successful candidate will:
- Experience in behaviour support, SEN, or working with children.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to managing behaviour.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt strategies to individual student needs.
- Understanding of positive behaviour reinforcement techniques (preferred).
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
